It was my least favorite color from the spring palette; I was rooting for Classic Blue to be named Color of the Year. Or Scuba Blue. Or Aquamarine. Or Toasted Almond or Glacier Gray. Pretty much anything but Marsala.
I will be very interested to see if Marsala is prominent in the craft world this year. I've already noticed it in the fashion world, if you can call a t-shirt display at Target fashion like I do. Trevor and I were gift shopping at Target the day that the Color of the Year was announced. As we walked past the clothes to get to the toys, I noticed a display of t-shirts that were a perfect match to the Spring 2015 Fashion Color Report. I wish I'd thought to take a picture, but I did not. I did, however, spontaneously throw a Marsala shirt into our cart.
I tried it on when we got home, expecting to hate it and have to return it. I rarely wear reds because of the way they look with my hair and skin, but the brownish undertone of the Marsala was different. I didn't hate it. Not only did I not hate it, I actually liked it. When we took our Christmas photos yesterday, I wore the Marsala.

ReplyDeleteLovely photo and the color DOES look really good on you!
ReplyDeleteI love the way I look in red (and dark pink) so maybe I will give Marsala a try too!
Ohhhhhhh I love that color!! And it works on me cause of my dark hair and skin :) Yellow is the color I can't do ... I look like a bumblebee! LOL!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your shirt and I think you look beautiful, but I still can't get behind that color as the color of the year.
ReplyDeleteIt really DOES look good on you! ;) But I agree, I don't really see it as a very exciting color for a "Color of the YEAR!" It's just not my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you! Love this color :)
