I use Sharpies for so many different crafts, as they provide wonderful color and write on just about anything. My favorite use for Sharpies is changing the color of embellishments for cards or layouts. Here's a yellow Sugar-Coated Brad from Doodlebug. Notice how the Sharpie writes over it without harming the glitter?
(Of course I have ink all over my fingers! I'm a crafter.)
And here's the card I made with the newly-orange brad:
It's so convenient to be able to create just the color I need! I don't think anyone would ever guess that brad started out yellow. Do you love Sharpies as much as I do? How do you use them?
Cuteeeeee card! And I loveeeeeeeee my sharpies! I have them in my scrap tote....and carry one with me in my purse at all times.....I use the ultra fine with the click top.....thank goodness I carry one all the time......we got an autograph from a baseball player once while in a restaurant cause of my sharpie! :):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteI like sharpies but would never think to use them in my scrapbooks. They are not acid free and yellow over time. Using them on a an embelishment may be different. Have you had any problems?
ReplyDeleteI love sharpies! I have them all over my house, in my purse, in my car, on my desk at work. I use the grey and black all the time for journaling :)
ReplyDeleteI've never used them in a scrapbook - only on cards or other things I don't expect to last.
ReplyDeleteI use my Bic Mark It markers in a similar manner. Did you know you could color clear bling with them as well?! I love doing that.
