The Fiskateers had another big crop last week. One of the challenges asked us to lift these inchies. (An inchie is simply a piece of artwork that is one square inch.)
I loved the use of letters in the inspiration piece and decided to make inchies that could be used as gift tags. I started with laser-cut stickers from Mrs. Grossman's, which I put on 3/4-inch squares.
I chalked over the top of the stickers. (Part of my ongoing effort to use my chalks!)
Next I peeled off the sticker to reveal the white letters:
And then I sprayed them with 'fixative' (aka hairspray).
I matted the letters with 1-inch squares, added some rhinestones, and then attached them to ribbon. Instant gift tag!
Very cool technique! Love these Cindy! :):):):):)
ReplyDeleteI am loving the inchies. Love how you used the the chalks. I have some ugly letter stickers that would make great masks, thanks for the reminder to use them :)
ReplyDeleteHow cute! What a great way to use up alpha stickers! :)
