Color My Cookie - Thanksgiving

I fell in love with Color My Cookie when I reviewed their 'Christmas Morning' kit last December, so I was excited to have another opportunity to review one of their kits. This time, I received 'Gobble Gobble.' Like all of their main cookie kits, it comes with seven large cookies (one of which is the paint palette for the others), a paintbrush, icing, sprinkles, and cups for water and the sprinkles. There's also a link to a decorating tutorial from a pastry chef.

I jumped right in by decorating one of the turkeys. I started with the feathers, first dipping my paintbrush in water and then picking up 'paint' from the palette. While the colors were still wet, I added sprinkles on top. Then I painted the rest of the turkey.

Then I moved on to a squash, and then a pie. Here are the first three cookies I decorated:

I made a point to decorate the second set completely differently than the first. Mission accomplished!

I love that there are so many possibilities with the kit. I had so much fun decorating and I'm happy with how every single one of my cookies came out. Best of all, these cookies taste SO good! I'm super impressed that they taste perfectly fresh for days after they arrive. I'm also impressed that they arrive intact. They've mastered packing the cookies in a way that protects them no matter what abuse a shipping company might put them through.

Color My Cookie offers a great variety of kit themes, including seasonal/holiday and year-round. They sell add-ons now too, like edible sparkly paint, though I haven't tried those yet. They even offer monthly subscriptionscustom kits, and special pricing for schools and non-profits.

Two big thumbs up for Color My Cookie!
